Chris Cornell hace un mes, Chester Bennington el día de ayer.
Como alguien que en más de una ocasión consideró el suicidio como una posibilidad, me siento devastado; me cuesta creer que dos grandes cantantes a los que yo admiro hayan perdido la batalla que yo sigo luchando.
El abuso, las drogas y las criticas son males dispares que tienen el mismo efecto: acabar con las ganas de vivir.
A algunos no les gustaron las canciones nuevas de Linkin Park, y tras el suicidio de Chester Bennington han comprendido como las letras reflejaban la lucha del cantante contra la depresión. Para mí, desde que las escuché por primera vez, sentí como no sólo las letras, también la voz y la música, todo el conjunto, me hablaban del dolor y la dicha que uno siente cuando entra y sale de la oscuridad.
Es una tristeza que haya sido necesaria una muerte para que más personas se dieran cuenta de cuánto podía brillar Linkin Park.

Being someone that considered the suicide option in more of one occasion, I feel devastated; I can't believe that two great singers that I admire had lost the battle that I am still fighting.
Bullying, drugs and critics are different evils that have the same effect: to eliminate your will to live.
Some people didn't like the new songs of Linkin Park, and after Chester Bennington's suicide they understood that their lyrics reflected the struggle of the singer against depression. For me, since I heard those new songs for the first time, I felt that not just the lyrics, also the voice and the music, all the package, spoke me about the pain and happiness that you felt when you enter and leave the darkness.
It is sad that a death was needed in order for more people to realize how much can Linkin Park shine.
